Monkey See, Monkey Do
My adorable nephew, Idris n The Don's lil brother spent the long weekend at my place and Sunday afternoon, we brought them to see the monkeys at Upper Pierce Reservoir. Along the road leading to the gates, there was a long line of cars stopping by the side with their windows down and hand outstretched feeding everything from peanuts to chocolates to the monkeys. There were huge signs almost every 200m to not feed the monkeys but did these monkeys listen ??? Nah!!! But the kids did have a good time gawking at the monkey and their antics (as I'm sure the monkeys had a wonderful time too gawking at us n our antics)
The place was as nice as ever. I remember our courting days when we'd drive up to the park and just sit n watch the beautiful sunset. We had a bountiful of good memories here.
Pierce Reservoir is definitely one of the very few lovely natural places left in Singapore.
