Yesterday's news that the powers that be in this red dot will start allowing the import of eggs from Malaysia is indeed cause for celebration. Since the ban, I have stopped preparing eggs sandwiches for The Don. I've been cooking fried rice and fried noodles instead. No..not because I'm a stingy wingy gal but because the only eggs that we manage to procure from the neighbourhood shops are very very tiny and very sub-standard...(tastes different) The only way we could get "normal" eggs is if we buy them from NTUC Supermarket and only with purchases of $10/- of other items first. This proved quite difficult as my family do not usually buy our groceries from NTUC. (JB Giant is the place to go..Tolong ekonomi negara sendiri sambil selamatkan ekonomi sendiri heheh)
And now that the ban has been lifted... The DON is one happy man.. more eggs for him from now on. To start it off I made a special treat for him this morning....
